Roll Bar Crane

Mounting Positioning

Swift Lift can be mounted to the rear of the vehicle, provided that the load box has the strength required at the rear. Locally we have mounted on larger vehicles (1 ton upwards) where the crane is used for fleet service and repairs in the field the Swift Lift crane allowing more flexibility for positioning and maintaining the ability to load and unload from the load box.

Boom Pivot

On the standard units the pivot of the boom (swing arm) allows the unit to reach over the vehicle on the passenger side (left hand drive vehicles). Obviously, for roadside loading of goods, this is essentially the correct side for loading. Should the need occur for the pivot to swing on the driver’s side, this can be specially manufactured. For example, the crane may be used for positioning or mounting engines, pumps mountings etc. and has the advantage of the driver being able to look at the positioning of the crane whilst skilfully manoevering the vehicle.

Lifting Capacity

Swift Lift is currently testing various adaptations to design, and types of cylinders used, to increase the stated lifting capacity. An external stabiliser leg may also be required on smaller vehicles where the load box needs additional support whilst lifting and swinging loads already designed and tested by Swift Lift.

Widths and Heights

Specially manufactured units can be produced for larger vehicles in most cases. Swift Lift have manufactured units to fit vehicles with 2000mm wide load boxes and a height of 1500mm. The design and materials used differs from the standard units due to the increased leverage and force on pivot point and boom (swing arm). Stabiliser legs (support legs) can be specially manufactured to mount as per customer requirement, provided functionality is maintained.

Other Applications

The Swift Lift Crane is not restricted to motor vehicles, it can also be fitted to Specialised trailers or floor mounted in industrial, mining, warehouses, etc. these are just some areas where it can be applied.
